    Re: Enclosure for 416A

    Hi GM,

Regarding your recommend enclosure like Santiago's basic, I didn't found the drawing
at page 22, I found the drawing at page 21 which the HF horn inside cabinet at
1974 enclosure link 1974 Enclosure Manual. Do you mean the 800Hz high efficiency home VOTT size
    28.5" H x 26.5" W x 18" D?

Somebody suggest A7 cabinet, is it possible for reduce size of A7 approx 7-10%?
If it can do pls recommend this reduce size compare with your suggest size
    36" H x 28" W x 26" D with horn.

I saw the A7 cabinet that have LF with HF horn mounted inside at 1968 enclosure plan
page no. 4 but can't find any drawing for this type.

    Thanks & regards,
    Worrapoj

    Greets!

Actually, I was referring to the one without the vents on pg. 20 which is '22' in the web link. They're both the same of course WRT the horn recess, I just didn't want to confuse you with the high mounted vents on pg. 21.

To correctly 'shrink' an A7 (825/828) horn cab in width, you in effect shorten the horn and reduce its effective mouth size, so draw a top view to scale and then the new width and draw a line between these two to find out much it needs to be cut off, so to speak. Of course the horn will unload at a higher frequency now, so there will be less mid-bass 'slam'/'presence'.

It's this cab turned upside down with just the small vent baffle board located where the large one is shown: http://www.lansingheritage.org/image...ure/page09.jpg

    Hi GM,

Thanks for your advise, I concluded to select cabinet like Valencia 846B by using plywood
thickness 15 m.m., I found the picture of 846B cabinet only but can't see any plan
    or drawing.
